yoo, a unique marriage of cutting-edge design and marketing and the result of a partnership between property entrepreneur John Hitchcox and the eponymous designer, Philippe Starck. 

Since 1999, yoo has worked with international developers, designing landmark residential and hotel projects throughout Asia, Australia, Europe, Africa, North and South America and the Middle East. Designers Marcel Wanders, Jade Jagger, Kelly Hoppen and now Anouska Hempel have joined the fold, while the immense style and intelligence of the yoo Design Studio is now valued in its own right. yoo is involved in the design of more than 10,000 homes in 31 cities.

'The Sunday Times Magazine' called Hitchcox and Starck a 'dream team'. 'Management Today' said yoo was the 'next step post the loft era'. That was 1999, and as you can see we made headlines right from the start. Our democratic, design-centred philosophy set us apart. 'The difference with yoo,' John Hitchcox has said, 'is that we start on the inside and work out. It's a simple idea, but it works.' 

Our reputation is that of a vibrant design brand with a lively approach to marketing. So why stop at buildings and interiors? We’ve already produced a book, 'Interiors by yoo', but that’s just the beginning. In the future, all sorts of lifestyle products, delivered under the fabulous yoo name, will be brought to market. For the moment, though, you can only imagine how marvellous they will be.
